Leading a consortium of partners, the D-Risk Group provided RBS with a pioneering proof-of-concept climate change analysis suite.

Result
The pilot provided a property-level exposure assessment of their retail mortgage book against current flood risk and the future change in risk using UK Climate Projections.
The pilot has catalysed and transformed the RBS climate journey placing the bank in a position to respond with confidence to the 2021 BES. The systems and approaches demonstrated in the pilot are now being used the basis for building a long-term strategy for integrating climate considerations into their lending and risk framework. This proof of concept features within the 2019 RBS Annual Report.
